What I used to study for NGN RN- NCLEX
Now after I graduated I was COMPLETELY burn’t out and the last thing I felt like doing was studying.
So did I force myself to study? No, cause I knew I wasn’t gonna retain much. I was also waiting for approval of my application and my ATT number to be able to test. And I had to wait almost a full month after graduation before I got the number.
When I was approved to schedule a date I picked it out several weeks in advance—1) because that’s when I could with my work schedule 2) I personally didn’t want to test late in the afternoon 3) for my anxiety 😬
Once scheduled I bought the 30 day subscription to archer that included the q-bank and on demand videos.
I started going through archers study plan but found the videos long so I started focusing on areas I needed an improvement based of my testing results.
The videos shared are what I found helpful overall- the prioritization video helped out immensely!!!
I also started realizing taking this test was just gonna determine if I knew enough to practice safely. So of course I started focusing on safety.
The lines tubes and drains video helped me cause I get confused on that stuff.
And lastly the beautiful nursing NCLEX review video is something I recommend to all my friends and classmates. This video not only encompasses the knowledge overall but it really helped me realize I don’t need to know everything and that the NCLEX realizes I’m a baby nurse.
My school allowed me to test for my LPN a year into my RN program. So when I studying for the LPN- NCLEX (which I also passed in the minimum questions) I had used beautiful nurses video and really helped!
Hope this helps anyone getting ready to take this test. You will do amazing! Believe in yourself, take it one question at a time and keep going. 🩷🤍🩵🩷🤍🩵
