let’s try Arizona’s FAMOUS pie!!🥧🥧

I’ve wanted to try this place since I was in like middle school and had friends raving about it. Rock Springs Cafe in Arizona has been around since 1918 and serves up the yummiest, world famous pies!! You can buy pies full or by the slice. I went with my favorite, chocolate cream & it was heavenly 😍 this place is only 45 minutes from me and im surprised ive never gone sooner, especially since ive KNOWN about these famous pies. I thought the place was over an hour away. now I’ll definitely be taking a little road trip just for these pies 😍 definitely be sure to stop and try a slice if you’re driving on the I17 from/to PHX/Flagstaff! ⭐️ Rating: 5/5!! ... Read moreBeyond just the incredible chocolate cream pie I raved about, Rock Springs Cafe itself is an experience worth savoring! Stepping onto the property, you immediately feel this charming, old-school Arizona vibe. It's truly a piece of history, established way back in 1918 – you can even see that 'BAKERY Est 1918' sign on their cute covered wagon outside, which really adds to the nostalgic feel. It's more than just a quick dessert stop; it’s a destination. While my heart belongs to the rich, creamy chocolate, I spent ages admiring the incredible selection of pies they offer. The chalkboard signs boasted so many tempting options, and seeing the refrigerated shelves stacked high with whole pies was a sight to behold! I saw classics like Apple, Cherry, and Blueberry, but also more unique and seasonal delights. They had luscious Lemon Meringue, vibrant Keylime, and even intriguing flavors like Rhubarb, Bourbon Pecan, and Tennessee Lemon. And for banana lovers, the Banana Cream looked absolutely decadent. It’s clear they put a lot of love into each one, ensuring there’s a perfect pie for every taste bud. Next time, I am definitely trying a slice of their seasonal fruit pies! What makes Rock Springs Cafe truly special is the entire atmosphere. It's a perfect spot to stretch your legs during a long drive along the I-17, whether you're heading to or from Phoenix or Flagstaff. The cafe isn't just about pies; they also have a full menu if you're looking for a hearty meal before indulging in dessert. It’s surrounded by scenic Arizona desert, making it a unique stop. I saw families enjoying their meals, and people grabbing pie boxes to take home, which is a brilliant idea. It truly feels like a community hub that has stood the test of time. If you're planning a visit, definitely carve out a little extra time to soak it all in. It’s located in a small, historic community called Rock Springs, and while it might seem a little off the beaten path, it’s incredibly accessible right off the highway. I’d recommend going earlier in the day if you want the widest selection of pies, as they are famously popular and can sell out of certain flavors. And remember, you can buy pies by the slice or take a whole one home – perfect for sharing (or not!). It's a genuine taste of Arizona's heritage and a sweet reward for any road tripper. For anyone seeking a truly authentic and high-quality baked good experience, Rock Springs Cafe delivers. It's not just a commercial bakery; it's a place where traditional recipes shine, and the dedication to crafting delicious pies is evident in every bite. It's an unconventional stop compared to modern chain restaurants, offering a unique, historical, and incredibly tasty slice of Americana.
