HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL W/YOUR FITNESS GOALS IN 2024

I know that the new year is a time of year where we all reflect on what we can do better and our fitness goals tend to be a very common one!

I wanted to share things that I teach my clients when working with me to make sure they’re successful and don’t make some of the same mistakes I did when I first started all those years ago cause no one likes to waste time and the sooner you start to see results, the more motivated you’ll be!

These are the top 3 that I cover so we’ll cover them here today 😊

#1 : WATER. Water is huge! It does so much for us so if your goal is to lose fat, dehydration can keep you from feeling your best and losing that unnecessary fat. You need to be able to get good sleep, digest your food, absorb nutrients and recover from your workouts and you can’t do this without being hydrated!

#2 : WEIGHT/RESISTANCE TRAINING. This plays a huge role in losing weight and gaining muscle to get that “toned” look you may desire. I’d recommend prioritizing this BEFORE your cardio and also prioritizing progressive overload after you gain the confidence of completing your exercises.

#3 : NUTRITION. This part is huge! But less is not always more. Instead of restricting your food and eating less, you’ll see results almost instantly with instead just choosing better foods. Some tips I tell all my clients is aim for 100+g Protein/day, better foods that make you FEEL good, less processed foods and more whole foods along with just cooking at home as often as you can.

Instead of drastically cutting calories, aim for higher quality food selections that nourish your body. Incorporate at least 100 grams of protein per day and focus on whole foods over processed options. Cooking at home allows you to control ingredients and develop healthier eating habits. By making these adjustments, you can lay a solid foundation for your fitness journey this year and feel empowered to reach your goals!
