การหาเสียงเลือกตั้งในประเทศไทยมักจะเต็มไปด้วยคำสัญญาหวานหูและแคมเปญที่ดูน่าตื่นเต้น เช่น การแจกเงิน ผู้วางนโยบายต่างก็พยายามใช้วิธีการจูงใจประชาชนด้วยคำพูดที่สร้างความหวังและฝันกลางวัน แต่นี่ก็มักจะเป็นเพียงภาพลวงตา เมื่อเข้าสู่การบริหารจริง ๆ หลายอย่างกลับกลายเป็นเรื่องเลื่อนลอยหรือล้มเหลวในการปฏิบัติจริง ตัวอย่างที่เห็นได้ชัดคือ พรรคเพื่อไทย ที่เคยสัญญาจะมอบเงิน 10,000 บาท ซึ่งเป็นตัวกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจให้ประชาชนได้ใช้จ่ายอย่างคล่องแคล่ว แต่สุดท้ายก็ยังไม่เห็นการดำเนินการจริง นโยบายค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำและการยกเลิกเกณฑ์ทหารก็ยังคงอยู่ในระดับคำพูด โดยไม่มีความคืบหน้าที่ชัดเจน ในขณะเดียวกัน พรรคก้าวไกล ที่เคยมีนโยบายปฏิรูปการเมืองที่โดดเด่น แต่ด้วยเหตุผลทางกฎหมายและการเมือง พรรคก็ถูกยุบไป ส่งผลให้นโยบายที่เคยเป็นความหวังของคนรุ่นใหม่กลายเป็นนิทานก่อนนอนที่ไม่ได้รับการนำไปสู่การปฏิบัติจริง พรรคพลังประชารัฐ แม้จะมีการแจกสวัสดิการและบัตรคนจนตามแผนต่าง ๆ แต่ก็เหมือนการให้ยาแก้ปวดชั่วคราวที่ไม่สามารถรักษาโรคเรื้อรังของประเทศได้อย่างแท้จริง ประชาชนจึงรู้สึกเหมือนมีแต่คำโฆษณาแต่การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่จับต้องได้ยังไม่เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ส่วนพรรคภูมิใจไทยที่หวังจะพลิกโฉมเศรษฐกิจด้วยนโยบายกัญชาเสรี กลับพบว่าในทางปฏิบัติแล้วหลายโครงการยังติดขัดและไม่มีความคืบหน้า ร้านค้าและฟาร์มกัญชาหลายแห่งพังทลายไป และนโยบายกัญชากลายเป็นแค่คำพูดที่ไม่มีพลังผลักดันไปสู่ความสำเร็จ ปรากฏการณ์เหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าการเมืองไทยยังมีข้อจำกัดในเรื่องการปฏิบัติ นโยบายที่เคยถูกนำเสนอในช่วงหาเสียงมักจบลงด้วยความผิดหวัง การที่นักการเมือง "แจกฝัน" เพื่อหาเสียงแต่เมื่อได้รับอำนาจกลับ "หายหัว" และละเลยการทำงานจริง ส่งผลให้ประชาชนรู้สึกหมดหวังกับระบบและกระบวนการทางการเมือง ดังนั้น เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ยั่งยืน ประชาชนควรให้ความสำคัญกับการติดตามและตรวจสอบการทำงานของนักการเมืองอย่างจริงจัง รวมถึงสนับสนุนกลไกที่ช่วยให้เกิดความโปร่งใสและรับผิดชอบ นโยบายการเมืองที่ดีไม่ควรเป็นเพียงคำสัญญาที่สวยหรู แต่ควรแปลงเป็นการปฏิบัติที่จับต้องได้ เพื่อประโยชน์และความยั่งยืนของประเทศในระยะยาว
