The end of "Director Sisapat," the victim of the Great Hat shooting.
The end of "Director Sisapat," the victim of the Great Hat shooting, shut down a dedicated female executive.
A mass shooting in the middle of a school in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, on February 11, 2026 led to major losses in the education industry after a 17-year-old youth tried to commit a shooting and hostage-taking inside the Khiri Wat President's Phaedong School. The authorities spent more than two hours besieging the situation. Three people were injured, one of whom was the school director.
Most recently, at 3: 00 a.m. on February 12, 2026, the "Songkhla Police" page released a message from the Hat Yai Friendship Foundation, saying sadly that the director of the Phatong School, the president of Kiri Wat, had died, causing great sadness to teachers, students, parents and the entire provincial education community.
The atmosphere within the Songkhla education circle is full of mourning, many parties express their condolences to the family, and praise the role of female executives who are dedicated to the continuous improvement of the quality of education.
Sisipat has a Master of Education (KMA) in Education Administration, has over 15 years of experience in the management line, starting as Deputy Director of Rat Phum School (2008-2009), continuing with Rat Physiology School (2009-2016), before rising to become Director of Sthingpon School (2016-2020) and serving as Director of Pathong School, President of Kiri Wat, from 2020 to the present.
Throughout the professional path, she has been noted as an executive who systematically drives the improvement of learner quality, both promoting proactive learning management, developing innovative educational establishments in the PATONG MODEL model, including SONG-LE MODEL research to strengthen student accountability, and the School Development Program to the "Organization of Happy Learning" or Happy Workplace.
Her departure was not only a personal loss, but also reflected important questions for the safety of academies and the mental health care of youth in Thai society.
Amid the sadness that remains is the work and spirit of a committed female administrator who left traces of development to many schools and pupils, a lasting educational legacy.
