Happy Tuesday Family!
Happy Tuesday Family! 🙌🙌🙌
I can recall the times that I thought I would never get this thing right... living for the Lord! It became such a battle for me many times because I couldn't understand how to separate sin from my life! I look at some of the older members in church and wondered how they were keeping themselves. What did they know that I hadn't learned? 🤔
Time and time again I fell back into my old ways, settling for the life I had become accustomed to and that I could control. I wanted to have a say in how I lived and who should be a part of that life and it worked until one day it didn't anymore! 👈
God's desires for my life begin to become my desires and I was changing! Being made in His image and after His likeness, my heart was yearning for MORE of Him and I was slowly dying to who I had previously identified as... Teresa. ⚔️
Of course that's the name that my parents had given me, but God has given me a name that only He knows! My God! 🙌🙌🙌
I never thought that I would see the day that I would be so anxious to die, as a matter of fact, I used to fear death! 👈
Not today family because TODAY I understand that "dying" is a part of living and to LIVE in Christ, you must die daily! (1 Corinthians 15:31). 🔥🔥🔥
In a world where struggles and sin often wear us down, the journey of spiritual rebirth opens doors to profound change. Many believers, like the author, grapple with their past while seeking a deeper relationship with God. This clash between old habits and new desires can be daunting, but it signifies growth and divine intervention. As we surrender our lives to Christ, we begin to learn the importance of daily renewal and dying to self, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 15:31. This daily process offers a sense of liberation that leads to a fulfilling Christian life. Understanding that life in Christ involves both challenges and triumphs can foster a sense of community among believers. Conversations about our struggles and victories can encourage others to embrace their faith and pursue their spiritual journeys. By sharing personal testimonies, we inspire one another to remain steadfast in our commitments to God and to live out the truth that dying to our former selves is essential in finding true freedom and identity in Christ. This reflection not only strengthens our faith but also illuminates the path for others seeking hope and transformation.
