I’ve been sitting with a lot lately, and some days I don’t even know what to do with all of it. ❤️
Losing my dear friend Jennifer, then my aunt, while still trying to get my head straight after the amnesia has been a whole lot.
Some days I’m laughing, some days I’m emotional, and some days I’m wondering where the heck my brain went. 🤣
And I’m learning to let myself have those days without making a big production out of them.
Because sometimes life is just hard. Period.
One thing all of this has reminded me is just how much I value PEACE.
Not perfect people. Not people who agree with everything I say. Good Lord, how boring would THAT be? 🤣
I’m talking about people who feel like home. People you can laugh with, cry with, sit quietly with, and just BE yourself around.
No walking on eggshells. No unnecessary drama. No feeling like you have to explain every little thing.
And just as importantly, I want to be that kind of person in someone else’s life.
I’ve spent a lifetime learning that I don’t have to participate in every argument, carry everyone else’s baggage, or explain myself to people determined to misunderstand me.
And believe me, that’s a lesson worth learning. Preferably before you’re old enough to qualify for the senior discount. 🤣
I’m naturally a happy person. I love my life. I laugh a LOT. But that doesn’t mean every day is easy.
It just means I’ve learned that I can love my life even when parts of it are hard.
So I’m keeping things simple these days.
Love people. Let people love me. Give grace. Accept grace. Laugh whenever possible.
And protect my peace without closing my heart.
Because life is already hard enough.
We don’t need to make it harder for each other. ❤️
And if my brain decides to join the party again anytime soon, that would be lovely too. 🤣❤️
