PyInstaller is a Python library that acts "package." The Python code we have written together with all other components to become a finished program file (such as .exe on Windows, .app on macOS or Executable on Linux). If it is easy to visualize, usually when we run Python code, the computer has to run Python and has to use the pip install command to install all the libraries (such as customtkinter) before opening the program.

But when we use PyInstaller, it acts like a suitcase organizer by removing the Python translator, the code we wrote, and all the libraries we use, bundled together into a single box to become a main.exe file. You can copy this file into a flash drive and forward it to a friend. Double-click activate it immediately. The friend's machine does not need to install Python at all.

When we run PyInstaller through Terminal, we can choose two main results:

1.Single folder (--onedir) default

PyInstaller creates a folder. It contains the main .exe file and a .dll file or other system file.

Disadvantages: When sending to someone else, the ZIP file must be zipped to the entire folder. Do not pull out the .exe file alone because it will not open.

2. Single file ending (--onefile)

Advantages: Clean, neat, easy to send to others. Only one file is finished.

Disadvantages: The program launch time is slightly slower than the first, because every time you double-click, the system will waste time cracking the dummy file into the computer's Temp Folder before the program bounces.
