Mid-year Check-in ✨

It’s that time of year to do my Mid-Year Check-In. I like to take my time and go over all of the goals I set at the beginning of the year and see what all I accomplished and what had to get pushed back.

Check out my full post on how I do my check-in, what I’m doing for the second half of the year, and learning to let go of my fears of being seen as a beginner🌱

From my personal experience, setting aside dedicated time to reflect on the goals I established at the start of the year helps me gain clarity and motivation. I recommend beginning by listing your original goals, noting which ones you’ve accomplished and which needed to be postponed or adjusted. It’s also important to celebrate your progress, no matter how small, as this fosters a positive mindset for the rest of the year. One key aspect I’ve learned is to embrace vulnerability and let go of the fear of being perceived as a beginner. Sometimes goals evolve, and priorities shift, so adaptability is crucial during this midyear reset. Consider setting fresh, realistic goals for the second half of the year, aligning them with your current interests and circumstances. Using hashtags like #midyearreset and #midyearcheckin can also connect you with communities who share similar experiences and tips, expanding motivation and support. In my check-in process, I also like to journal about any challenges faced and lessons learned so far. This helps me develop a growth mindset and recognize that setbacks are opportunities for development. Above all, be gentle with yourself; the mid-year review is about progress, not perfection. I encourage everyone to experiment with their check-in methods to find what resonates best—whether that be through writing, creating vision boards, or discussing with a peer. Overall, a mid-year check-in is not just a review—it’s a chance to reset your intentions and approach the rest of the year with renewed energy and confidence. Start today, and you might be surprised how much you can achieve by year-end!
