... Read moreSince starting my trying to conceive (TTC) journey, I've been researching ways to support my body and hopefully speed up the process. It can feel overwhelming, but I've decided to incorporate a few key supplements into my routine that I believe are giving me the best shot, especially while sticking to a budget. I've seen a lot of chat online about natural ways to boost fertility, and after doing my homework, these are the ones I'm excited about!
First up is Geritol, specifically the multivitamin/multimineral supplement. I was looking for a general nutrition support to make sure my body has all the essential building blocks. What really caught my eye about Geritol is its reputation for helping to loosen cervical mucus. Having healthy cervical mucus is super important for sperm to travel effectively, so I'm hoping this gives us an advantage. It’s got 26 essential vitamins and minerals, which feels like a great foundational step.
Next, for hormone balance, I’ve added Vitex, also known as Chaste Tree Berry. This herb is widely talked about for promoting hormone balance, especially when it comes to regulating cycles and supporting ovulation. I've heard so many positive stories about how Vitex helps women with irregular periods or hormonal imbalances, and since I want to make sure everything is working as it should, this felt like a must-try. It's a natural way to support my body's own rhythm.
I'm also using FLO, which is a popular app for tracking cycles, but the images also suggest a supplement related to promoting ovulation and fighting hormonal weight gain. While the original post mentions the app, my research into the products I'm using clearly points to a supplement that can help with these areas. Keeping my hormones in check and promoting consistent ovulation are top priorities, so anything that supports that is a win in my book. Hormonal weight management is also something I'm mindful of, so it's a bonus if it helps with that too.
Finally, I’ve incorporated a supplement with a 40:1 Inositol ratio for ovarian support. The OPositiv Health product in my image is a good example of this. Inositol is fantastic for supporting ovarian function and overall reproductive health, especially for those who might be dealing with hormonal imbalances like PCOS. It’s often recommended for its role in egg quality and regular ovulation. I'm hoping this specific ratio gives my ovaries the best support possible as we try to conceive.
My approach isn't about finding a magic bullet, but rather creating a supportive environment for my body to do what it's meant to do. Consistency is key, and I’m dedicated to taking these daily along with maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Of course, everyone's journey is unique, and what works for one person might not work for another. I always recommend chatting with your doctor before starting any new supplements to make sure they're right for you. But for now, I'm feeling really positive and hopeful about these additions to my TTC toolkit. Wish me luck on this exciting journey!
