Sitting indoors with views of the misty mountains and forest, sipping a warm drink, allows you to fully appreciate the natural beauty from a different perspective. It was also a great moment to relax and recharge before the next leg of my journey. The quick stop at Lake Bled was a nostalgic one for me, as I had visited during my university exchange years ago. Returning with my furbabies this time added a fresh layer of joy. Lake Bled’s charm is timeless, whether you’re hiking its perimeter in sun or soaking in its peaceful ambiance on a rainy day. Later that day, we embarked on a 7 to 8-hour drive to Italy, looking forward to indulging in authentic Italian cuisine—pizza and pasta included! This blend of unexpected downtime in Slovenia followed by an exciting culinary adventure in Italy made the trip uniquely memorable.
