Okay, so you guys know how much I adore cute coloring books, and the Coco Wyo Comfy Days Coloring Book has been on my wishlist for ages! I finally got my hands on it, and I couldn't wait to start. The cover itself, with the adorable cartoon frog chef and duck surrounded by baked goods in a bakery scene, just promised so many cozy vibes. For my first page, I chose one of the charming diary-style illustrations. I was so excited to bring this little scene to life. It featured a sweet framed picture of our frog and duck pals, surrounded by delicious-looking strawberries, cherries, and a cute pencil. I spent a good amount of time just planning my color palette. I mostly reached for my trusty Ohuhu markers, which are fantastic for blending and getting those vibrant hues. I wanted the strawberries and cherries to pop, so I focused on using bright reds – I think I even used my R22 Pink for some of the highlights on the cherries to give them that juicy look! For the leaves and background elements, I experimented with different greens, maybe even a touch of WG4 Green Shadow for some depth around the edges. It's so satisfying to see the colors come together. The little frog and duck in their picture frame were just too cute to mess up, so I took my time with them. Later, I moved on to another full page, which depicted a diary entry with the frog and duck celebrating a 'BIRTHDAY'! This one was extra special because who doesn't love a birthday celebration? I made sure the star and other little details around them felt festive and bright. If you're new to coloring or just thinking about picking up this Comfy Days book, here are a few little tips I picked up: Don't be afraid to experiment with your Ohuhu markers! Try layering light colors first and then adding darker shades for depth. Also, don't rush. Coloring is such a relaxing activity, and it's all about enjoying the process. Sometimes I just put on some music and get lost in the colors. It’s amazing how a simple act like coloring can really help de-stress and boost your creativity. I truly recommend the Coco Wyo Comfy Days Coloring Book if you love cute, comforting illustrations. The quality of the pages is great, and there are so many delightful scenes featuring our favorite frog and duck. It's perfect for a cozy afternoon.
