Are you shy asking your man for money?

you should not be afraid to ask your man for a reasonable amount of money. I’m not talking about spending every last dollar of his or asking for luxury things or stuff thats out of budget. I mean things like groceries, or gas for your car.

If he’s coming over every day, eating at your place, spending his time in YOUR space why shouldn’t he contribute to groceries or basic things you use together?????

And especially if you two are getting down like that if he’s comfortable enough to lay with you, he can definitely pay for you and I stand on that especially when you’re grown.

Being scared to ask for help or support from the person you’re intimate with is a wild concept to me. A person who cares about you won’t make you feel bad about asking for reasonable things.

💬 Do you think asking your man for money is normal or too much?

... Read moreWhen it comes to finances in a relationship, many people struggle with the fear of asking their partner for money, even when it's for reasonable expenses like groceries or shared bills. This hesitation often stems from societal expectations or personal insecurities regarding financial independence and gender roles. However, money is a practical part of daily life, and sharing expenses can be a normal, healthy aspect of intimate relationships, especially when partners spend considerable time together. If your partner frequently visits your home, shares meals, or uses utilities, it is fair to discuss contributing towards those costs. This isn't about demanding luxury items or extravagant spending, but rather ensuring a fair balance that respects both partners' contributions and maintains financial transparency. Open communication about money helps prevent misunderstandings and resentment, fostering trust and mutual support. A respectful partner understands that asking for financial help is neither shameful nor a sign of weakness. Instead, it reflects an honest acknowledgment of shared lives and responsibilities. Ultimately, relationships thrive on communication and mutual care, which includes understanding each other's financial boundaries and needs. Remember, asking "If he can lay with you, then he can pay for you" captures a sentiment of mutual respect and support rather than entitlement. If you struggle to initiate these conversations, start with small requests or share your feelings about finances openly. Consider setting budgets together or tracking shared expenses to keep the relationship equitable and reduce any stigma around money discussions. Healthy financial dialogue is crucial in preventing conflicts and ensuring both partners feel valued and supported in their everyday lives.

I think asking him for money could seem so demanding and viewed as very shallow if I had to just ask him right away on a personal standpoint. As long as he was able to offer the money voluntarily and I didn’t even have to really feel like I was pressuring him then that’s fine. Money shouldn’t be the only factor that holds the relationship as long as both parties are financially secure also. #AskLemon8 #Lemon8Contest 🍋

I wouldn’t ask for money but if he’s not willing to give me without asking then he’s got to go
