How many books do you want to read this year ? 📚

My goal this year is to read 40 books! Last year was 25 books and honestly I feel like I would’ve hit it but I listened to some audio books and the Game of thrones audio books are like 45 hours 😳 so it took me so long to get through those. I prefer to just read straight from the book.

How many books do you want to read this year ?

... Read moreSetting a reading goal is a fantastic way to motivate yourself and make your reading habits more intentional. I personally set a target last year to read 25 books, and while I almost reached that, lengthy audiobooks like the 45-hour Game of Thrones series slowed me down. This year, I’m aiming higher with a goal of 40 books, primarily by focusing on reading physical or digital books rather than audio versions. This helps me stay engaged and track my progress more effectively. One tip I learned is to diversify the types of books you read to keep things exciting—mixing genres like thrillers, fantasy, and nonfiction can prevent burnout. Also, using tools like reading apps or journals helps monitor your progress, making your goal feel more achievable. Another effective strategy is breaking down big goals into smaller milestones, such as finishing one book every week or two. This creates a sense of accomplishment and keeps your momentum going. I also found it helpful to join online reading forums or challenges, like #whatimreading or #books communities, which provide support and book recommendations. Remember, your reading goal should be tailored to your lifestyle and interests. Whether it’s one book a month or one a week, the key is consistency and enjoyment. So, how many books are you planning to read this year? Sharing your goals can motivate you and others to make reading a joyful and enriching habit.

This one was pretty good! I love Frieda’s books! I was thinking to give myself the matching year number for goal. 26 for ‘26. Keeps me realistic so I don’t feel too bad if I don’t hit it by EOY. lol
