rystals are the “branches” of a tree

Before spring, I made a “crystal branch” and waited for it to send out new buds!

Steps:

- First, use stoneware clay to make the main pole of the dead tree.

- Then, glue the paper strips together.

- Then add crystals (Cruz) as extensions.

- Color with acrylics, using browns, bright yellows, etc., paying attention to the details of the local light and dark.

Dead wood has the beauty of dying and ending, while crystals are alive and full of vitality. Combining the two together, there is a strange feeling of “new hair on dead wood”. The inspiration for this piece comes from an “extended tree” in a courtyard, with intertwined vines and a powerful sense of sunlight.
