My Customized 3DS :)
I bought a modded 3Ds and decorated it, it’s gonna be a internet-less summer y’all
Customizing my modded Nintendo 3DS has been such an exciting journey. I chose to decorate it in a style that reflects my love for retro gaming, especially inspired by Y2K aesthetics which add a nostalgic yet fresh vibe. For the summer ahead, I'm planning to keep the device offline, focusing on enjoying games without online distractions. One interesting aspect I explored was integrating themes from classic Nintendo titles and even some Tamagotchi nostalgia, as suggested by some of the imagery I incorporated into my design. Although my 3DS is modded, I’ve kept it safe and glitch-free to ensure smooth gameplay. Decorating the device also involved creative use of stickers and custom shells which made my 3DS stand out uniquely. Using a modded console provides the opportunity to expand game libraries and access homebrew apps, but I’m especially enjoying revisiting old favorites like the Tinker Bell Lost Treasure game mentioned in some classic Nintendo circles, plus other offline story and fancy modes that keep the experience engaging. This approach has been a refreshing change from the constant internet connectivity, allowing me to focus deeply on the games and customization process. If you’re thinking about modding or decorating your own handheld device, I recommend planning the look carefully and choosing sturdy materials that won’t damage the hardware. Plus, try to balance between personalization and functionality. Overall, this offline gaming experience with a custom 3DS has already made my summer plans much more fun and unique.
