งานนิทรรศการภูมิปัญญาผ้าไทยและหัตถกรรมชุมชน ถือเป็นกิจกรรมที่ผมรู้สึกประทับใจมาก เพราะได้เห็นความพยายามของชุมชนท้องถิ่นในการรักษาศิลปวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมเอาไว้ ทอผ้าทอมือและหัตถกรรมอย่างใส่ใจในทุกขั้นตอน โดยเฉพาะผ้าทอกัญชงผสมเส้นใยธรรมชาติที่นำมาพัฒนาเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ๆ นั้น เล่าถึงความร่วมมือระหว่างผู้เชี่ยวชาญกับช่างทอผ้าที่ช่วยให้ชิ้นงานมีความร่วมสมัยและใช้งานได้จริงในชีวิตประจำวัน นอกจากนี้ การได้รับพระราชทานคำแนะนำจากสมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี ฯ ยังเป็นแรงผลักดันสำคัญที่ทำให้ผู้ผลิต และผู้ประกอบการ OTOP ในภาคเหนือ มีโอกาสพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ให้ตรงกับความต้องการของตลาด และมีแนวทางการสร้างแบรนด์ที่ชัดเจน เพื่อขยายตลาดทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ จากประสบการณ์ที่เคยมีโอกาสร่วมงานคล้ายๆ กัน ทำให้ผมเห็นว่า การผสมผสานภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นกับการออกแบบที่ทันสมัย และการตลาดที่ดี เป็นกุญแจสำคัญที่ช่วยให้ผ้าไทยและงานหัตถกรรมชุมชนยังคงความยั่งยืน ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยสร้างอาชีพและรายได้ให้กับคนในชุมชนเท่านั้น แต่ยังช่วยอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมไทยให้อยู่ต่อไปในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์ด้วย จึงอยากเชิญชวนทุกคนให้สนใจและสนับสนุนผลิตภัณฑ์ผ้าไทยและงานหัตถกรรมชุมชน ซึ่งนอกจากจะได้สินค้าที่มีคุณค่าเชิงศิลปะแล้ว ยังเป็นการช่วยรักษาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นและส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจชุมชนในแบบที่ยั่งยืนอีกด้วย
