My Father

Growing up, I always found comfort in the stories my father shared about faith and love. Recently, reflecting on the unique ways God showed His love—especially through women like Esther and Mary—deepened my understanding of what it means to be cared for by a truly faithful figure. For example, God’s choice of women as the first witnesses of the resurrection and His defense of the woman caught in adultery show a powerful message: love and grace are accessible to everyone, regardless of circumstance. This insight became personal for me when I faced challenges that made me question whether anyone was paying attention to my struggles. Just like Hannah’s desperate prayers for a child were honored and answered, I found solace knowing that faith and persistence matter deeply to God. These biblical stories remind me that true love—be it from a father or from God—is patient, compassionate, and steadfast in the midst of waiting, grief, and heartbreak.
