1. Do not believe by listening to each other.
2. Don't believe in each other.
3. Do not trust with rumor.
4. Do not believe by quoting texts or scriptures.
5. Do not believe because of logic.
6. Don't believe it because of inference.
7. Don't believe in reasoning.
8. Do not believe, because it is compatible with the theory that has been determined.
9. Don't believe it. Because you can see the likely appearance.
10. Don't believe it, because I respect you as our teacher.
When you inquire until you know for yourself whether they are meritorious or punishable, then they shall be forsaken; and when you inquire until you know for yourself whether they are charitable or unpunishable, then you shall observe them.
Therefore, this sutra is not forbidden to believe, but to believe with wisdom, otherwise beliefs are not immune to "credulity," and it is not interpreted that the Buddha taught not to believe these things and to believe others, but to understand that even these things, some of which are chosen to be the most convincing, he warns not to believe, not to be quick to believe, not to be a judgment, but to make mistakes, and to consider them first.

กาลามสูตรถือเป็นหลักธรรมที่สำคัญและทรงคุณค่าสำหรับผู้ที่แสวงหาความรู้และต้องการมีปัญญาในการแยกแยะถูกผิดในชีวิตประจำวัน หลักสิบประการนี้ชี้แนะให้เรารู้จักพิจารณาด้วยตนเอง ไม่ยอมรับเผื่อเชื่อในสิ่งใดเพียงแค่ฟังตาม ๆ กันมา หรือเชื่อเพราะเป็นสิ่งที่รู้จักกันมานาน แต่ควรสำรวจให้ลึกซึ้งว่าจะส่งผลดีหรือผลร้ายอย่างไรกับตัวเองและผู้อื่น นอกจากนี้ กาลามสูตรยังเป็นการส่งเสริมความคิดอิสระและความรอบคอบในการตัดสินใจ โดยเตือนให้ระวังหลุมพรางของความเชื่อที่ไม่มีเหตุผล หรือเชื่อเพียงเพราะอ้างฐานะหรือบุคคลที่นับถือ อีกทั้งยังสอนให้ไม่เชื่อเพียงเพราะเห็นว่ากลมกลืนหรือเข้ากันได้กับทฤษฎีที่ตนยึดถืออยู่แล้ว ซึ่งเป็นการกระตุ้นให้เราตรวจสอบทุกสิ่งอย่างจริงจังและมีวิจารณญาณ ดังนั้นการนำกาลามสูตรมาใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน ไม่เพียงเป็นการป้องกันการหลงเชื่อสิ่งที่ไม่เหมาะสมหรือโทษ แต่ยังช่วยให้เกิดความเข้าใจที่ลึกซึ้งและถูกต้องยิ่งขึ้น การลงมือทำหรือเชื่อคำสอนต่าง ๆ ควรมาจากการพิเคราะห์ด้วยตนเอง และไม่ลืมว่าความเชื่อนั้นต้องสอดคล้องกับความเป็นจริงและเป็นประโยชน์ นี่คือการปฏิบัติที่พระพุทธเจ้าได้สอนเพื่อให้ทุกคนได้พัฒนาปัญญาและมีชีวิตที่ปลอดภัยจากความงมงาย การศึกษาและปฏิบัติตามกาลามสูตรจึงเหมาะสำหรับทุกคนที่ต้องการหลีกเลี่ยงการเข้าใจผิดหรือความผิดพลาด ด้วยการใช้ปัญญาและเหตุผลควบคู่กันกับความรอบคอบ เพื่อสร้างความมั่นใจว่าทางเลือกและความเชื่อของเรานั้นถูกต้องและมีผลดีจริงตามหลักธรรมในพระพุทธศาสนา \n ด้วยแนวทางนี้ ชีวิตของเราจะมีความเป็นอิสระทางความคิดและมีความน่าเชื่อถือในทุกการตัดสินใจ ซึ่งเป็นรากฐานสำคัญของการเจริญเติบโตทั้งทางด้านจิตใจและจริยธรรมอย่างยั่งยืน
