Grateful for the reminder
Good morning & happy Monday ☀️
I want to be clear—these were my notes and takeaways from our church service yesterday, not my words or wisdom. All credit belongs to God and the message shared.
We talked about prayer as relationship, beginning with Father (Luke 11:1–2). Prayer reorients our hearts and draws us back into dependence on Him (Luke 11:2–4). So often we don’t pray because we think we’ve got it handled on our own.
This question really stayed with me:
Where in your life are you most tempted to say, “I’ve got this,” instead of, “Lord, I need You”?
There have been many moments in my life where I’ve had to fully surrender to God’s will—getting married, having a baby, and moving to Florida.
Tonight marks 7 years since I arrived in Florida—alone, a car full of clothes, trusting God that it wouldn’t be long before the rest of my family joined me from Chicago. From selling our Chicago home to buying our Florida home… all God. I even rented a room from a stranger who turned into a great friend—another reminder of His provision.
Prayer helps us see God rightly—yes, He hears us (Luke 11:5–13).
Grateful for the reminder to trust Him, lean on Him, and pray first.
