“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” — Psalm 37:7

Good morning friends ☀️

Early Saturday start after a late night at the field, but I wouldn’t trade it. Got in a peaceful walk with the sweetest girl in the house 🐕‍🦺🐾 and it was exactly the reset I didn’t know I needed.

Today looks like a mix of real life and a little self-care… cleaning, grocery list, cooking, maybe a nap, and definitely a massage. Finding that balance between getting things done and slowing down enough to actually enjoy the day.

Sometimes we move so fast we forget we’re allowed to pause. Not everything has to be rushed. Not every moment has to be filled. There is peace in slowing your pace and letting your soul catch up.

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” — Psalm 37:7

My prayer today is that you give yourself permission to pause. To breathe. To notice the small blessings around you. The laughter, the quiet, the simple moments that matter more than we realize.

What’s on your agenda today? Are you giving yourself a moment to slow down, or is it a full speed ahead kind of Saturday?

I’ve experienced firsthand how slowing down, especially on busy weekends, has brought me a much-needed reset. Whether it’s going for a peaceful walk with a furry friend or setting aside time for simple self-care like cooking and cleaning, these moments help ground me. Psalm 37:7 reminds us to be still before the Lord and wait patiently, which I find essential not only spiritually but emotionally and mentally. When life feels overwhelming, pausing allows space to breathe, reflect, and appreciate the little joys often overlooked—like the warmth of sunshine or the sound of laughter. Implementing this practice has transformed how I approach my to-do lists. Instead of rushing, I create a balance where getting things done goes hand in hand with savoring the quiet and the present moment. This intentional slowing down nourishes my soul and amplifies gratitude for everyday blessings. If you’re feeling rushed or depleted, consider granting yourself permission to pause without guilt. It might be a brief moment of silence, a walk with a beloved pet, or simply noticing the calm during a hectic day. These acts align us with peace and patience, echoing the timeless wisdom of Psalm 37:7, encouraging a gentler pace and a more mindful presence.
