As I’ve gotten older, life has humbled me in many ways.
Good morning, my friends!
There was a time in my life when I tried to make everything happen on my own. I pushed forward without slowing down to pray, seek wisdom, or ask for guidance from the One who already knew the outcome. I relied on my own understanding and thought I had to figure everything out myself.
As I’ve gotten older, life has humbled me in many ways. Through opportunities, hard decisions, unexpected challenges, and seasons of uncertainty, I’ve learned the importance of pausing and seeking God first. I’ve learned that clarity doesn’t always come instantly, but peace often comes when we surrender and trust Him to guide our steps.
Sometimes leaning in takes courage. It means trusting when the path isn’t fully visible and believing that God is working even when we don’t understand it all. Other times fear, doubt, or disappointment can make us want to pull away instead.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Today I encourage you to pause before reacting, deciding, or worrying. Pray for wisdom. Ask for discernment. Trust that God sees what you cannot.
When you are faced with opportunities, decisions, challenges, or uncertainty… do you lean in and trust Him, or do you find yourself pulling away?
Wishing you a beautiful and blessed day ahead. 🤍
Over time, I’ve come to realize that surrendering control doesn’t mean giving up—it means opening ourselves up to possibilities beyond our own understanding. The phrase often shared, “GOD CAN DO MORE WITH YOUR Surrender THAN YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR CONTROL,” truly resonates with me because trying to steer every aspect of life can lead to burnout and frustration. Through personal experience, I found that when I ceased trying to force outcomes and instead leaned into faith, I experienced a new kind of peace. This doesn’t imply that problems vanish; rather, it feels like having a steady anchor amid turbulent waters. Whether facing difficult choices or sudden life changes, pausing to pray or simply reflect can transform anxiety into calm acceptance. Trusting God requires courage especially when the path ahead is unclear. It’s easy to fall into doubt or fear, but learning to step forward with faith has helped me develop resilience. I’ve noticed that wisdom often comes gradually and sometimes through setbacks. That’s why patience and openness to divine guidance are essential. For anyone navigating life’s uncertainties, I encourage building a habit of pausing—not just reacting or making hasty decisions. Asking for discernment, even in small moments, can lead to profound insights. Remember, it's okay to not have all the answers immediately; peace springs from trusting a higher plan. In my everyday life, this approach has led to better decision-making and a deeper sense of fulfillment. When challenges arise, instead of pulling away, leaning in with trust has allowed me to grow stronger and more hopeful. This personal journey has been a continuous reminder that surrender is not weakness but a powerful act of faith.
