We’ve all had moments in our lives when we felt like we messed up so badly that maybe it was unforgivable. You know what is amazing? God knew from the moment we were created that we would be imperfect, make mistakes, and need to rely on Him. That is why He gave His only Son to die on the cross for us.
As humans, it is hard to imagine such an incredible sacrifice. Yet He knew that if we accepted Jesus into our hearts and believed that He died on the cross for our sins, we could have eternal life in Heaven.
Sometimes we just need to get out of our own way. I’m not saying we should blatantly sin, but when we do make mistakes, we should confess, ask for forgiveness, and reflect on what we could have done better and how we can do better in the future. God forgives us, so we need to lay our sins at the foot of the cross and spend that energy honoring the Lord with the grace we have been given.
Whatever is on your mind or in your heart, share it with Him. He knows all of your burdens and secrets… and He loves you anyway.
Find a way to love yourself, even in the moments when it feels undeserved. If you need prayer, just ask. I’d be honored to pray for you!

... Read moreLife can sometimes feel overwhelming when we believe our mistakes have closed all doors to redemption. However, the Bible repeatedly shows us that God restores those who think their story is over. This truth is profoundly echoed in TobyMac’s message to #SpeakLife, reminding us that no matter how broken we feel, restoration is possible through faith.
From personal experience, there have been moments when I felt weighed down by my shortcomings and feared I’d gone too far to be forgiven. It was in those very moments that turning to prayer and reflection brought unexpected peace. Confessing mistakes honestly and seeking God’s forgiveness helped me release guilt and start anew.
Embracing God’s grace also taught me the importance of self-love. It’s not about ignoring our flaws but accepting that we are loved despite them. This acceptance fuels growth rather than despair. Sharing burdens with God—knowing He understands our hearts—creates a deep comfort that nothing else can replace.
If you’re struggling with feelings of unworthiness or regret, remember that God sees your potential beyond your mistakes. Lay your burdens at the foot of the cross and open your heart to His love. Just as God restores others, He can restore you. And if you ever need a prayer or support, reaching out can make a significant difference on your journey to healing and hope.
