Church was such a blessing yesterday, and this verse has stayed on my heart.
As parents, we all hope we’ve done our best to raise our children in a home that loves and honors God. We know we aren’t perfect. We’ve made mistakes, had hard days, and wished we could do some things differently.
Our greatest prayer is that our children have seen a genuine love for God in our home, that the seeds of faith we planted continue to grow, and that they choose to follow Him for themselves.
As they get older, they begin making their own choices. That’s when our role shifts from teaching to trusting. We continue to pray, encourage, and believe that God is working in their lives, even when we can’t see it.
Today, I’m praying for all my children—that they would seek God, make wise decisions, and know they are deeply loved. I’m praying the same for yours.
May we never stop pointing them to Christ, trusting that the lessons we taught, the prayers we prayed, and the love we showed will bear fruit in God’s perfect timing.

In my experience as a parent deeply invested in nurturing faith within the family, I've found that the journey is uniquely challenging yet profoundly rewarding. The passage from Deuteronomy 6:6-7 reminds us to embed God's words into daily life—not only through teaching but by living out those values consistently. Sharing this verse with my children during everyday moments, like meals or bedtime, helps reinforce their foundation of faith without it seeming like a formal lesson. Trusting our children to make their own choices as they mature can be daunting. I’ve learned that while guidance is crucial, stepping back and allowing them space to explore spirituality independently can strengthen their personal relationship with God. Prayer becomes an anchor during these times—praying not just for their decisions but for their hearts to be open and receptive. Moreover, community involvement, such as attending church together and engaging in fellowship groups, has been invaluable. It creates a supportive environment where children see faith reflected in others, reinforcing what they learn at home. I also recognize that no parent is perfect; mistakes are inevitable. What matters is continuing to lead with love, humility, and consistent faith. Keeping an open dialogue about struggles and doubts helps children feel safe in their journey. Ultimately, this faith-based parenting approach is more than just teaching scripture; it's about embodying God’s love daily and trusting that the seeds we plant will bloom when the time is right. I pray alongside others, hoping all our children seek God’s wisdom and love throughout their lives.
