There’s something about getting back into a routine that just feels so good.

Good morning!

I could have let the closed gym stop me. Honestly, it would have been easy to make that excuse. But instead, I found a way to keep moving. It wasn’t perfect, but I kept going.

And now the gym is OPEN again—and I’ve been loving it! There’s something about getting back into a routine that just feels so good.

The 5 AM wake-up call is definitely early, and between work, dinner, and getting to the gym, my evenings are packed. But I’m choosing to remind myself that progress doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to keep going.

So if you see me and I look like it’s already Friday… it IS Friday, and I am THANKFUL. 😂

Keep showing up. Even when it doesn’t look exactly like you planned.

You can. You should. And if you start, you will. ❤️

From personal experience, I’ve found that embracing imperfection and prioritizing progress over perfection is the key to long-term success. When my gym was closed, it was tempting to halt all exercise altogether, but instead, I sought out alternative ways to stay active, such as home workouts or outdoor walking. This helped me maintain momentum and kept my motivation alive. The 5 AM wake-up calls can be tough, especially when balancing work, meals, and gym sessions. However, I've learned that planning my schedule realistically and allowing myself some grace during busy days makes it easier to stay committed. Having a fixed routine also creates a sense of normalcy and accomplishment, which positively impacts mental health. Moreover, the phrase "keep showing up" resonates deeply with me. Even when workouts aren’t perfect or energy levels dip, showing up to move your body is a victory in itself. Small, consistent efforts build habits that enhance endurance, strength, and confidence over time. On days when it feels like barely making it to the gym, reminding myself that any movement is beneficial helps me push through. Whether it’s a light workout or a challenging session, every effort counts. This mindset truly nurtures resilience and helps avoid burnout. Incorporating motivational cues—like affirmations or positive mantras—can also bolster determination. The inspiration behind the phrase "You can. You should. And if you start, you will." perfectly embodies the power of self-encouragement. Ultimately, getting back into a routine isn’t just about physical health; it’s about reclaiming control and fostering a positive relationship with yourself and your goals. So don’t wait for perfect conditions—start where you are and keep going one step at a time.
