Depression House Clean up 🏠🧽🧺

This isn’t just a messy room. This is grief. This is postpartum. This is what it looks like when your world splits open and you’re still expected to be the glue.

I became a single mother again in the middle of losing my little brother, in the middle of healing from birth, in the middle of trying to hold down work, a home, and my own mind. Nobody talks about this part—the parts where the dishes pile up, laundry turns into mountains, and the only thing keeping you going is the fact that your babies are still watching.

I didn’t share this for pity. I’m not looking for applause. I’m sharing it because someone out there feels like they’re drowning in silence. Someone out there is pushing through postpartum rage, soul-shaking grief, and invisible labor—and still waking up to try again.

This is my trying.

This is my rising.

This is me, messy but moving.

Alive but aching.

Tired but choosing not to give up.

To anyone in the thick of it: You’re not lazy. You’re not failing. You’re not alone. You’re surviving a storm people don’t even know you’re in. Keep going.

Even when grief is beating your ass.

Even when the world doesn’t notice how hard you’re fighting.

Even when all you can do is clean one corner of one room.

That’s still healing. That’s still power.

Thank you to the ones who held space for me—especially Sage, who’s been the lighthouse when I couldn’t see myself. I made it through today, and that counts.#normalhouse#grief#socialmediavsreality#depressionroom #postpartumdepressionawareness

The act of tidying up can bring a sense of control in chaotic times, making it a vital part of self-care. Postpartum depression often goes unnoticed, yet it significantly impacts many new mothers. Recognizing the signs and seeking support is crucial. Communities and resources dedicated to mental health are vital in providing the necessary help for individuals navigating these challenges. Creating a calming home environment can also ease the burden when coping with grief and loss. Simple tasks like organizing a room or decluttering can foster a sense of accomplishment and clarity. For those feeling overwhelmed, it's okay to take small steps; even cleaning one corner of a room can be a victory. Engaging with support groups or online forums can connect individuals with others facing similar struggles, creating a network of empathy and shared experiences. Remember, you're not alone on this journey, and reaching out for help is a strong step towards healing. Whether it’s through journaling, creative outlets, or professional therapy, it's essential to discover what helps you cope best. Prioritizing your mental health is just as important as keeping a tidy home. Finding balance in these areas can lead to recovery and a renewed sense of self.
