🎉I'm 32! 🎉 Happy birthday to me!
31 was a weird, crazy stressful and truly eye opening year. Here are some things I learned:
💪I'm way stronger than I thought I was
🧋 Boba tea is my emotional support drink of choice
..unless I'm in the hospital then it's cold apple juice 🍎
🤝 I have more like a city rather than a village of people who support me and will help with literally anything (but especially love Teddy sitting 🐻)
💈I can def pull off the short hair lewk
👁️ Eyelashes can grow inwards instead of outwards (yes it scratches your eyeball)
🗑️ Kids will hyperfixate ton the weirdest things (Teddy loves trash cans of all shapes and sizes)
🎧 📚 Sometimes audiobooks are better than regular books. (I highly recommend Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Fairies by Heather Fawcett and the second one. I assume the third is great but it's not out til Feb)
🧑🍼There exists a picture of me and mom in the hospital after I was born. I just got a copy of it two weeks ago 💕
✨Radiation is fast….like so fast. It's crazy
🪭 Hot flashes are no joke. Holy heck. I'm so sorry to anyone going through menopause.
🛏️ Foam mattress toppers are amazing. So cozy
🩷 There are tons of places to get free things like Pockets of Hope (free sweatshirt with pockets inside to hold medical bags) and Knitted knockers (someone knits a 🍈 and you can adjust the stuffing to better get it to fit your need and then stuff it in your bra.)
🧛Strahd can be beaten (it's a DnD thing)
🥳 I am clueless when it comes to surprise parties (my no more chemo party in August)
💊 Steroids make a heck of a difference for mouth sores. (Currently one on my tongue and I could barely talk without the steroid).
There's probably many more things but this is all my silly brain could come up with early this morning. Thankful for all of you who have been with me through the cancer adventure. Here's to more happy adventures in year 32!!!!! 🍻

Turning 32 is not just about age but also about growth and lessons learned. Throughout my journey, I’ve discovered the importance of emotional support from friends and family, as well as the little joys that keep us going, such as my love for boba tea. Reflecting on my experiences, I’ve realized that strength often comes from unexpected places, reminding us of the resilience we have within. From the comfort of a foam mattress topper to the unexpected benefits of audiobooks, I’ve learned to appreciate life's simple pleasures. Moreover, dealing with challenges like hot flashes and mouth sores has taught me empathy for those experiencing similar issues. Being a breast cancer survivor has been a vital part of this journey, as my ‘cancer adventure’ has provided me perspectives that many may overlook. Connecting with communities and discovering wonderful resources like ‘Pockets of Hope’ have been a silver lining in tough times. As I embark on this new year, I'm excited for the adventures that lie ahead. Whether through surprise parties or tackling hobbies like DnD with friends, each moment brings learning and growth. I embrace the challenges with an open heart, ready to continue spreading positivity and resilience as I celebrate life! Cheers to year 32!
