The last page is unfinished - but I started it yesterday during therapy. #journal #junkjournal #flipthrough
Starting a junk journal has been a transformative experience for me, especially when integrating it into my therapy sessions. The tactile process of working with scraps, labels, and found objects like the 'ops.lobster tail' or labels such as 'lable 41' sparks creativity and presence in the moment. Using imagery and themes such as 'DRACULA'S' and 'ELS SPROUTS & TURF' has allowed me to explore different moods and ideas, giving each page a unique story. Flipping through the journal provides a visual representation of my emotional states and progress over time. For anyone considering junk journaling, I recommend starting with whatever materials you have on hand. It doesn’t have to be perfect; it’s about expression and exploration. Incorporating journaling during therapy can help unlock thoughts and feelings that might be difficult to express verbally. The unfinished last page reminds me that creativity and healing are ongoing processes, and it's okay to leave some parts open-ended. Sharing a flip-through of my junk journal allows me to reflect on my journey and encourages others to find their own ways of creative self-care.
