Things that helped me during pregnancy

Disclaimer: I wasn’t able to do any of this during the first trimester, I was glued to the bed/couch. Nothing helped my nausea. When that went away, is where this list came in!

-staying active

-staying comfortable

-staying proactive (busy)

-having a water cup at all times

-prioritizing diet

-reading books on birth

-having a supportive community

Also sorry for the watermarks, it’s a repost bc the last one got 0 views and idk why :))

One major aspect is staying active; exercises like walking or prenatal yoga can maintain strength and flexibility, which are crucial for labor preparation. Comfort is vital, too; investing in comfortable clothing such as maternity leggings and supportive bras can greatly enhance daily comfort levels. Maintaining proper hydration is essential during pregnancy, especially as the body works hard to nurture the growing baby. Always keep a water bottle nearby to help mitigate dehydration. A balanced diet not only affects physical health but also energy levels and overall mood. Women often find that prioritizing nutritious foods—smaller, frequent meals—can help curb nausea and support healthy weight gain. It's advisable to reduce sugar intake and processed foods, as they can lead to unwanted cravings and energy dips. Moreover, connecting with a supportive community significantly uplifts the pregnancy experience. Online forums, social media groups, or local meetups provide a platform for sharing experiences, advice, and encouragement among pregnant women. Such connections often foster friendships that last beyond pregnancy. Remember, every woman's journey is unique, so finding what works best for you is key to a happy and healthy pregnancy.
