Romanticizing your workouts series

✨Starting with Glutes

I’ve been focusing less on lifting super heavy and more on slowing everything down, controlling the movement, and building a strong mind-muscle connection. I’ve noticed the biggest difference when I stay consistent with the SAME routine for a few weeks instead of constantly switching workouts.

✨ What’s been working for me:

• Hip thrusts

• RDLs

• Single leg RDLs

• Elevated reverse lunges

• Step ups

• Cable kickbacks

• Pilates + controlled movements

My biggest advice?

Progress slowly. Focus on form first. Add weight over time (progressive overload) and really feel the muscle working every rep.

And don’t forget — your body needs fuel to grow. Protein, recovery, hydration, and consistency matter just as much as the workout itself.

Slow. Controlled. Consistent. 🤍

Romanticize becoming the strongest version of you.

... Read moreFrom my own experience embracing the 'romanticize your workouts' philosophy, I’ve seen a remarkable transformation not just physically but mentally as well. The key is truly slowing down each movement—hip thrusts, single leg RDLs, and elevated reverse lunges—and concentrating on that mind-muscle connection. It’s amazing how much stronger and more engaged my glutes feel when I don’t rush through reps and instead focus on control and discipline. What’s been eye-opening is how sticking to the same routine consistently helps reinforce muscle memory and neural pathways that improve form and strength. Switching workouts too often can stall progress because the body needs time to adapt, and your brain needs repetition to develop that muscle awareness. The small steps, like progressing gradually with added weights, really lead to big changes over time. Additionally, fueling the body right with sufficient protein, hydration, and rest days cannot be overstated. Your muscles recover and grow stronger when you treat your nutrition and recovery with the same dedication as your workouts. Pilates and other controlled movement exercises also complement weighted workouts by enhancing balance and stability, which supports glute activation. Patience and trust in the process are essential—there’s no shortcut to becoming the strongest version of yourself. The sense of accomplishment that comes from each disciplined session transforms exercise from a chore into a meaningful ritual, making fitness feel less like a task and more like a celebration of your progress and self-care journey. For anyone wanting to deepen their connection with their workouts and see sustainable results, I highly recommend focusing on the slow and controlled approach described here. In time, your glutes and your mindset will both thank you for the love and attention invested daily.
