Forecasting Love & Weather Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

My best friend is such a fan of Song Kang (Shi Woo)and repeatedly told me to watch this drama and Nevertheless. I finally caved in and watched it. I love Park Min Young (Ha Kyung) dramas I think that was the deciding factor here.

In the Drama we have 4 main characters that work in a the Weather Service office in Korea

Ha Kyung: works at the Seoul office and is the director 2nd in command which demands a lot of attention and time while at the same time she is preparing for her weeding with Ki Joon.

Shi Woo: is crazy about the weather and loves looking at the sky. He not only uses scientific facts but also his observations skills to predict super accurate outcomes, he lives with his girlfriend Yoo Jin

Ki Joon: Works in as the spokesperson of the weather services, he does have a lot of contact with the press and public relations.

Yoo Jin: is a journalist that was assigned to the weather services. She is very charming, pretty and very ambitious on every aspect of her life.

I really enjoyed the trama and the whole weather prediction events and the weather analogies they used to explain some situations in life.

I think the office romance was worthy and so hilarious and how tried their best to hide it. Office romances have that je ne sais quoi that is just so addictive 🤣

Some of the side characters storylines were so hilarious and silly but entertaining.

My only complaint would be how we have to follow of the ex-fience and the Journalist stories as if to try to make you feel empathy for them. I get it their previous partners were maybe more focus on their jobs and personal issues to notice but what they did was inexcusable so the whole time I was just annoyed to follow their stupid story 🤣 maybe I was salty but I could have done with less of them.

As someone who finally took the plunge, I can tell you it's a unique blend of office drama and heartwarming romance that stands out. If you're a fan of K-dramas that offer more than just a typical love story, this one weaves in fascinating insights into the Korea Meteorological Administration. The daily routines and high-stakes predictions of weather forecasters, like our lead Shi Woo (played by the charming Song Kang), really add an unexpected layer of depth. The chemistry between Song Kang and Park Min Young (Ha Kyung) is undeniable, making their secret office romance incredibly engaging. You'll find yourself rooting for them as they navigate the complexities of working together while trying to keep their relationship under wraps. This isn't just about love; it's about career ambition, personal growth, and finding stability amidst life's unpredictable 'weather patterns'. The portrayal of the office environment is surprisingly realistic, showing the pressures and camaraderie within a professional setting. It’s not often you get such an interesting backdrop for a romance, making the 'forecasting love and weather office' dynamics a real highlight. One aspect I particularly enjoyed was how cleverly the show uses weather analogies to reflect the characters' emotional states and relationship dynamics. From sudden downpours representing unexpected challenges to sunny days signaling new beginnings, it truly makes you think about how our own lives are influenced by internal and external 'forecasts'. The series masterfully connects the unpredictable nature of weather with the ups and downs of human relationships, giving a fresh perspective on love and life. It's more than just a romantic comedy; it's a thoughtful exploration of how we adapt to change. While I initially had reservations about certain character arcs, particularly with the ex-fiancé (Ki Joon) and journalist (Yoo Jin), I do understand that K-dramas often use these conflicts to highlight personal growth and the imperfect nature of relationships. It’s part of the journey, even if it tests your patience a bit! These secondary plots, though sometimes frustrating, ultimately serve to deepen our understanding of the main characters' choices and resilience. You'll see how Ha Kyung and Shi Woo grow from past heartbreaks, which adds a layer of maturity to their budding romance. For those curious about the 'Forecasting Love & Weather' Netflix poster that grabbed your attention, it truly captures the essence of the series – a beautiful, sometimes stormy, love story. The show, which premiered on Netflix around February 12th, offers a fresh take on the romantic comedy genre. If you appreciate a Kdrama that blends a mature storyline with compelling characters, the charm of Song Kang and Park Min Young, and a unique backdrop, then yes, this is absolutely worth adding to your watch list. It's a delightful experience that leaves you pondering the 'forecasts' of your own life and love, and definitely a memorable entry into the world of Korean dramas.
