Cat eye & Iridescent Nails

This helps prolong your manicure and protects your natural nails. First Coat of Cat Eye Polish: Apply a thin, even layer of your chosen cat eye gel polish. Don't cure it yet! The Magnet Magic: This is where the fun begins! Immediately after applying the first coat, hold your special magnet (it usually comes with the polish or you can buy one separately) very close to, but not touching, your nail. Hold it steady for about 10-15 seconds. You'll see the magnetic particles in the polish shift to create that characteristic cat eye line. Different magnets or holding positions can create different effects – a straight line, a diagonal, or even a wavy pattern. Cure It: Once you're happy with the effect, pop your hand under your LED/UV lamp to cure that layer. Second Coat (Optional but Recommended): For a more intense and opaque look, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4. I find that two coats really make the shimmer pop! Top Coat: Finish with a high-shine no-wipe top coat and cure it one last time. This seals everything in and gives you that glossy, salon-like finish. My personal trick for a super simple yet striking design is to use a single, vibrant cat eye color on all nails, or maybe just do an accent nail with the cat eye effect while the rest are a complementary solid color. For example, a deep emerald green cat eye on your ring finger with solid black on the others looks incredibly chic and surprisingly easy to achieve. If you're like me and love that extra sparkle, you can also look for iridescent cat eye polishes, like the pink with a silvery-blue sheen I'm currently rocking. These polishes combine both effects beautifully, giving you double the magic with minimal effort. You can even layer a sheer iridescent top coat over a regular cat eye polish for an added dimension. Don't be afraid to experiment with different magnet positions or even try two magnets at once for a more complex pattern.
