NDP 2025 on National Day!✨🎆🇸🇬
Hi fellow zesties 🍋✨️, last month, on the 9th of August, for the first time ever I got to experience The National Day Parade on National Day itself. It was such a cool and heart- warming experience, It felt surreal. I have always wanted to experience NDP on National Day as it is something that feels so patriotic and makes me proud to be a Singaporean. And if you're wondering how I got NDP tickets, let me tell you, I first applied for the balloting for NDP tickets but didn't get an email back or any notifications, so after a while I was losing confidence that I was going to be able to get NDP tickets.
In the meantime I started searching for other ways I could possibly get NDP tickets and at the time I started following some of the local artists and hosts performing for this year's NDP, om Instagram and I saw that some of them were doing giveaways for NDP tickets and I decided to participate in some of them. So the post that ended being the reason I got the NDP Tickets was posted by a local rising artist, heema izzati. As scene on the last Image, She was having a NDP Ticketsl Giveaway and all I had to do was write a heartfelt message for what I want for the future of Singapore. So I thought for a while and I then decided to I write my message in the comment section of the post' that I want Singapore to grow wanted more in the Art's and Music scene and we will have more rising local up artist to support.'
And so after a while of waiting, on 1 Aug I got a message from Heema Izzati on Instagram, saying that I was one if the lucky winners that have been chosen by her to win a pair of NDP tickets. At first I was so shocked that I thought maybe I read it wrong or that I was maybe I was dreaming but no it was real and I was so greatful to Heema and thanked her. Last year unfortunately due to circumstances I couldn't celebrate National Day but this year more than makes up for it as I was able to attend three National Day themed events. The first event was on 2nd of Aug, it was the NDP x NTUC by the bay celebration and it was really fun I got to also see the live broadcast of the preview for NDP from the Padang. The after hour DJ set was really good I was dancing and singing till I was starting to get dizzy. The second event was the National Day Concert at Gardens by the Bay which was a free event for anyone to attend and that was a blast too. It was such a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed all the performances and I was proudly singing along to all the National Day songs and was so proud to be a Singaporean in that moment.
