One of the most beautiful places, we stayed three days and it was the perfect amount of time to do everything! Location: Seaside, FL 30A #30a #florida #travelrecommendations #travel #travelhacks
My recent 3-day adventure along Florida’s scenic 30A, especially in Seaside, was absolutely magical! Like many, I wondered if three days would be enough, but I quickly discovered it's the perfect amount of time to get a true taste of this stunning coastal stretch. From charming architecture to vibrant art, here’s how I made the most of my trip and what you absolutely shouldn't miss. Exploring Seaside's Unique Charm: Seaside itself is a postcard come to life. I loved wandering past the iconic white buildings with their black and white striped balconies, which give the town such a distinctive look. It felt like stepping onto a movie set! One of my favorite stops was the quaint United States Post Office, a classic landmark that adds to the town's nostalgic feel. Everywhere you look, there's beauty, and the best way to see it all is by bike – you'll spot them everywhere, parked next to charming shops and even a vintage mint green and white Volkswagen van that just screams 'beach vacation.' The vibe is so relaxed and inviting, it’s truly one of the top places to visit in Florida 30A. Art and Atmosphere: The art scene truly adds to the character here. I stumbled upon a vibrant mural, famously known as 'the smile of 30A,' which instantly brightened my day and reminded me that #artmatters in these communities. Beyond Seaside, we ventured further along 30A. A visit to places like Rosemary Beach, though we primarily focused on Seaside, revealed similar attention to detail and beautiful architecture. Just a heads-up if you're planning on beach access there, I noticed signs for 'NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY' and 'WALKOVER G OWNER/GUEST PASS REQUIRED,' so it’s good to be prepared. Culinary Delights and Practicalities: You absolutely cannot visit 30A without indulging in the food truck scene! We enjoyed delicious meals from several of the food trucks I saw gathered outdoors, a fantastic casual dining experience. For those traveling with furry friends, I was delighted to see a 'DOGGIE WATER STATION' sign, complete with bowls – it's clear this area is super pet-friendly. When it comes to accommodations, many people opt for the charming cottage rentals. I saw signs for a 'COTTAGE RENTAL COMPANY,' and it's definitely the quintessential 30A experience. Making the Most of Your Visit: My top travel hack for 30A? Rent a bike! It’s the easiest and most enjoyable way to explore the various communities and soak in the coastal atmosphere. While three days felt perfect for a highlights tour, if you want to truly unwind and explore every nook and cranny, a longer stay would be wonderful. Whether you're looking for relaxation, good food, or picturesque views, Florida 30A offers an unforgettable escape. I'm already dreaming of my next visit!
