tragus piercing inspo
I had been wanting to get my tragus pierced for a few years, but I never got around it mainly due to fear.. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to tolerate the pain because everyone said the pain level was so bad. They also said the healing phase was painful. Basically everyone around me and the internet made me feel terrified, and it was all for nothing!
I am here to tell you, the pain level is not bad at all! I know everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but seriously it doesn’t hurt, the most you feel is a pinch and some discomfort. I rate the pain level a 2 out of 5.
My friend and I actually went together, and we got matching piercings. She had messaged me a few days prior asking if I felt spontaneous enough to go get our tragus pierced and I was like “AHHH, I’m scared but yes!”
We were both freaking out LOL, but it was all in our head. She also said it wasn’t bad at all.
The piercing itself took about maybe 30 sec, super quick!
Also, the healing has been pleasant. The lady provided us with a spray and instructed to spray the piercing 2x/ day.
The place we went to is called Element Piercing located in Fayetteville, AR. The lady who pierced our ears made the experience great! She was very patient with us, and she talked us through the process as she was piercing our ears. She made sure we felt comfortable through it all. Her name is Kylee, definitely recommend going to her!
This is your sign to go get your tragus pierced if you’ve been contemplating it! I promise you, it is not even near as painful as what we make it seem in our head.

Tragus piercings have gained immense popularity for their unique aesthetic appeal and versatility. Many first-time piercers often fear the pain associated with this ear piercing, but understanding the process can ease these worries. The pain level typically ranges from 2 to 5 on the discomfort scale, and experiences vary by individual. It's important to choose a professional piercing studio, like Element Piercing in Fayetteville, AR, known for its welcoming environment and skilled staff. Preparing for your tragus piercing involves maintaining good hygiene and possibly discussing any pre-existing conditions with the piercer. Aftercare is crucial; follow your piercer’s instructions, which may include cleaning the area with saline solution and avoiding unnecessary touching. Healing times can differ, usually spanning from 3 to 12 months, so patience is key. Moreover, selecting the appropriate jewelry is essential for comfort and aesthetic preferences – options range from classic studs to trendy hoops. Listening to your body during the healing process is vital; if any unusual symptoms arise, consult your piercer or a healthcare professional. Ultimately, getting a tragus piercing can enhance personal expression while proving to be less daunting than initially perceived.
