Is the Bible necessary in your faith walk? 🌈🤍
In Joshua 1:8, it says “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
but what exactly does this mean?
The word of God is a living one. If your ears are portals, and your tongue is a weapon, why wouldn’t the word of God hold the same impact?
🤍 Here are a few things that happen when you spend time in your Bible:
1️⃣ Divine wisdom! The Bible holds the worlds secrets, literally. When you spend time and meditate on the living word of God, you are not only blessed with wisdom, but gifts. Gifts like discernment, and conviction that can lead you to make wiser decisions in your day to day life.
2️⃣ A calm in the chaos! Have you ever noticed that when you spend too much time away from your Bible the world around you feels like it’s crumbling? The more time I get to spend in my Bible, the more I am reassured by His presence.
3️⃣ A closer relationship with Jesus! The more you study and meditate on the word the more you understand Jesus and his mission. If we understand, Jesus, then we understand God, and he created us! This brings us even closer to understanding ourselves and the goodness God has lined up for us.
