toniebox review ✨
the Toniebox became superrrrr popular within the last 2 years. is it worth it? here’s my review!
the stand charger it comes with is super convenient, we have it set up in a book shelf always standing on the charger and it’s nice to not worry about if it needs it be charged or not!
the ears on top are actually the volume up and down button, so the kids can easily control the volume. I love this feature! you can switch between stories by hitting the sides of the box. one side is forward and one side is backward. I also love this feature because it makes it even more kid user friendly.
each tonie is magnetic to the top of the box, so you don’t have to worry about them falling for and your kids getting frustrated. they can carry it around to wherever they’re going and it will stay on top!
there are lots of content character tonies available to purchase!! we have stitch, peppa pig, the grinch, paw patrol, pj masks, Mickey, etc. they have other non- character content tonies too, like playtime puppy (kids songs), bedtime songs, calm, etc. the downfall is that the tonies can get expensive. They range from $14.99-$19.99 depending on the length of the tonie.
my favorite part of it though, is the creative tonies! these are empty tonies that you can download or record your own content onto. We currently have the vampire one with hotel Transylvania clips & music on it, as well as some Halloween books from VOOKS. And we have the superhero one with spidey & his amazing friends clips & music on it. We also have had family record books/stories on them for us! my son loves hearing his favorite people on his toniebox 🥰 the creative tonies are cheaper, at $12.99 a piece!
The actual toniebox is $99.99 but you can get a couple different bundle deals on their website to include the toniebox and a few tonies of your choice for less!

Beyond the features I shared, one thing I've appreciated is how durable the Toniebox feels—perfect for little hands that can be a bit rough with toys. The magnetic connection for the tonies really helps prevent frustration since they stay put, even when kids carry them around. The variety of tonies available, from popular characters like Peppa Pig and Stitch to music and bedtime stories, means there’s something for every child’s interest. However, keep in mind that collecting several tonies can get pricey, so waiting for bundle deals or sales can help save. The Creative Tonies are a personal favorite because they let us add our own recordings. I loved uploading my son’s favorite stories and even some family voices, which makes listening feel extra special to him. For parents concerned about charging, the stand charger is super convenient—we place the Toniebox there when not in use, so it's always ready to go without any hassle. If you’re curious about how the controls work, the volume ears and side taps for next and previous tracks are intuitive. My son figured it out quickly and uses it independently, which has been great for his confidence. Overall, if you’re looking for a safe, screen-free, and engaging audio experience for your kids, the Toniebox is worth trying out. It’s been a lovely addition to our routines, especially for car rides and bedtime.

Good to know I’ve been considering this one in the Yoto mini player
