ONE MORE TIME?

POEM/SONG 42

I’m so close, getting high, one more time? forgot a little what its like, so one more time? i promise that, ok maybe not, like to do what i want, so how about one more time? makes me feel so fine, in my bedroom zoned out, lost in the thought, i think you know what i want, you can read my mind, thinking about getting high, one more time, one last night, I’m stuck so tight, feel my chest, I cant breathe, i really wonder why, probably cause not high, probably should get high, its what i think about on the daily, should take a trip to Haiti, heard they got some ladies, that i like, drugs and girls, what else more? in my room, got so bored, feels like I’m doing so much chores, no I am just so torn, I wish I wasn’t born, too late for that, fuck please send me back, i wanna relapse, every fucking second that pass, fuck how do i get past this? is this shit worth it? wanna feel perfect, some drugs can help with that, maybe one more time, i think about all night, yeah all night, thats my life.

... Read moreThis poem echoes a common struggle many face: the allure of indulgence and the battle against it. It sheds light on the internal conflict between the desire to escape reality through substances and the yearning for authenticity in life. Through vivid imagery and poignant expressions, the author articulates the pain and pleasure associated with seeking highs, both literal and metaphorical. Addressing themes such as loneliness, addiction, and existential angst, the poem resonates with readers who find themselves lost at times, questioning their purpose and the paths they have taken. Cultural references, such as a trip to Haiti, not only serve to place the narrative in a specific context but also highlight the universal quest for connection and satisfaction beyond transient pleasures. By confronting the concept of relapse, the author nudges readers to reflect on their own lives, prompting conversations about mental health, the complexity of human emotions, and the search for meaning amidst chaos. This reflective attitude encourages a supportive dialogue about personal struggles, whether through poetry or community support models like #helpme and #lonely. Each hashtag embedded in the content beckons those feeling similar sentiments to connect, fostering an environment of understanding and shared experience.
