NEED TO CHANGE

POEM/SONG 44

yeah wish i had friends, yeah ones that commend, not the ones that like to bend, twist apart, need to restart, get a new start, need some new friends, anxiety taking control, I’m always on patrol, need somewhere to go, a great place, maybe in space, its a drug race, I’m last place, a disgrace, full of grace, tie my lace, running laps in my mind, drugs first place, its time i replace, no time to lace the cup, gotta pour into something more, maybe poetry, see it all through the leaves in the trees, birds chirping, sing along, its drugs that i long, did em so long, now they long gone, no more hitting bongs, instead be taking off some thongs, its only money i want long, all my life I’ve been wrong, its time i take a right, its time i write, thats a right, all this time I’ve been so blessed, so hard to see through the glass, window pain, they’re all up in my brain, without the drugs in the rain, but i see the light, and its coming fast, see the colors in the sky, i need to reach out, grab the hand in the sky, lift me up, so dark in the depths of distress, but i found new way to dress, yeah no more mess, its not a guess.
