so many ways

POEM/SONG PART 46

So many damn ways, I don’t know which one to play. I ride them all like a wave—so quick, I can never pick. So I just let them all go. Which way? I know: on the couch, on the low. I smoke so much, I can now flow through my mind. I like to wonder all the time. I wonder if she'll ever be mine. Probably not. I’m running out of time. Don’t have a watch, so I don’t know this time. Remind: it’s a crime to tie myself up in her mind, but I want to be set, like a mindset. In my mind, she's set. Can’t die like the rest. I want to digest all these shitty thoughts that can never seem to get lost; they're just costly, and I'm all free. Someone come please; no one wants me, but I want me. I tell myself, I’m in hell, but I feel good. Guess I can’t tell. I’m throwing up—oh well, probably from the pill that I threw in the well. Don’t look down, just stand up and get fucked up. I want a truck so I can load up. Heavy haul, like to ball, like to run down through halls that lead to my head. Gotta slow down in my bed, close my eyes, no more sight. You hide, I go ahead and just lie. Don’t care, can’t see anywhere but the dark. Really hate it when my dogs want to bark 'cause I can’t get a start on this sleep that I need. No motivation in my feedback; I stay slacked, I get cracked, yeah, fast track. I'm not on the right track, but I’m still so fast. Wonder how much longer I’ll last.
