no recoveries

POEM/SONG 49

Used to have a crush, but all my feelings crushed,

When she left me at my knees begging please,

Don’t run away from me, your loss a disease to me,

There’s no recoveries, no cure for me,

Fucked up mentally, running low, at my last tally,

No straws, I’m really about to brawl,

Fucking up a jaw, speeding through the job,

So I can be a slob at my home, on my ass, all alone,

But I choose this, I don’t care, I’ma loser,

I just lose her, I be losing, no one choosing,

Pick me, I promise I’ll give you anything you need,

Just looking for another, like no other,

I can love you so much like a mother,

Like you love your mother too, I know it’s true,

But what’s life without you? It’s nothing,

I don’t want you gone, it’s been fear for so long,

But your face just gets rid of it, sorry, what did I say?

Oh, you think it’s time? Hold on, lemme press rewind,

Not gonna happen this time, oh yeah,

Did you tell me you were mine? Obviously, never mind,

Crazy thought, I know, who wouldn’t?

Let’s go, it’s time to reload,

Hold on, getting lost in the past,

My heart too strong, still I long, for so damn long.
