Regret my mistakes

POEM/SONG PT 56

I lost my girl, it fucking hurts so much,

Can’t believe I made the choice, went and fucked it up.

I think that I’m blind, probably deaf too,

What’s the point? I lose.

I lost you so quick, so it’s fuck this shit,

Threw my life away, don’t know what to say.

Can’t believe I made you walk away,

Can’t believe I didn’t know what to fucking do.

Can’t believe I did this shit,

I’m gone from your mind, but you’re still in mine.

I thought of you, so think of me too?

This time is not due, I’m lost without you.

Let’s fight for our love,

The silence cuts deep as I’m screaming to myself,

It’s not helping me, I’m falling through hell.

As I’m wishing you well, please come back to help.

I love you so much, I’m here to be held,

As you calm the storms, your eyes calm the rain.

As you turn your back, it brings me the pain,

But it’s ok, at least you’re ok.

I hope you find love, it’s just not with me, and that is ok.

If fate allows, I will see your face,

And open my eyes to the truth inside.

Please don’t mind my cries, when I see you I think that I’ll die,

Such a big surprise.

Nevertheless, I think I should rest,

Got these words off my chest,

Put my last love letter in a chest, and get it to rest.

You were the best person, not easy to forget,

So easy to miss, you bring my life bliss.

I can’t keep rowing my words,

I need to be heard by the one I love.

She’s way up above, throw the rope down, love.

... Read moreReading back through these words, it brings me right back to that crushing feeling. It's like I'm reliving every single mistake, every moment I knew I was messing up but couldn't stop. The poem was my way of just getting it all out, a raw outpouring of "Regret my mistakes" that had been building up inside. It’s hard to admit, but sometimes you look at your life and think, "my life is fucked" because of choices you made. When you lose someone you love because of your own choices, the "loss and regret" can feel unbearable. You question everything, feel like you're drowning in what-ifs, and wonder if you'll ever find your way out of the darkness. I've been there, feeling completely numb, wondering "why is life so shit?" What do you do when you realize you've thrown away something precious? But I've learned that even in the deepest sorrow, there's a tiny flicker of hope. Acknowledging those feelings, writing them down like unused lyrics about life struggles, is the first step towards healing. It's not about forgetting or pretending it didn't hurt; it's about processing it. It’s about letting those emotions flow through you, even the ones that make you want to scream "I'm not falling for that shit" at the world, because you feel so wronged by yourself. I've spent countless nights thinking, how could I have been so blind? So deaf to what I had? But the truth is, these struggles, these profound regrets, they teach us. They force us to look inwards, to truly understand what went wrong, and to recognize the patterns we need to break. It’s a harsh lesson, but a necessary one if we ever want to move forward and prevent similar pain in the future. It's a long journey towards "acceptance, hope, and enduring love" – for myself, and eventually, for finding connection again. It means forgiving the person I was, understanding that I did the best I could with what I knew then, and committing to doing better now. It means finding peace with the idea that some things might be lost forever, but the lessons learned can be carried forward. Sometimes, the only way to move past the feeling of being "lost without you" is to find yourself again. To rebuild, to learn, and to grow. It's not easy, and some days I still scream into the void, but laying bare those painful feelings, like in this poem, feels like releasing a heavy weight. It's a testament to the fact that even when things feel completely broken, there's a strength inside to pick up the pieces, even if it's just one tiny piece at a time. It’s about finding a way to transform that regret into growth, slowly, day by day.
