why i will always be honest about my mental health

a lot of people might question why i post the things i do online about my depression, anxiety, and other mental struggles. i am VERY open about the things i face, and there’s a reason for that.

when i was younger, i was alone in these struggles and mental health seemed like a very taboo topic to the people and adults around me- even though my school administrators would like us to believe otherwise. the truth is that even the people we were meant to rely on didn’t really understand how to help.

i will never feel ashamed now, to speak up on these issues and tear down the walls and barriers- and i am not alone in this. i see so many people who center their content around mental health and talk about subjects that might make us uncomfortable sometimes. it has given me the strength and confidence to do the same over the years, and i have never strayed from sharing that online.

there are so many things that we all struggle with and suffer through, and these things are not easy to endure.

please know that you are not alone, even though you feel alone. i am not alone, even though i feel that way. i hope one day that i can continue my studies in psychology and make a positive impact and contribution to the world of mind, and body, and soul.

i just wanted to say this because i definitely plan on sharing more about my struggles with my mental health, and i’m also interested in hearing any different perspectives about this subject.

:) thanks for reading.

... Read moreMental health is a topic that deserves attention and openness. Many people face issues like depression and anxiety but feel isolated in their struggles. The importance of breaking the stigma around mental health cannot be overstated; by discussing our challenges honestly, we foster a supportive community. Sharing personal stories helps others understand that they are not alone, promoting healing and connection. As society progresses towards greater awareness of mental health, more individuals are speaking out about their experiences, allowing for deeper conversations on self-care and coping mechanisms. Whether through therapy, support groups, or simply having honest conversations with friends, there are numerous ways to navigate these turbulent waters. The online community plays a significant role in providing a platform for open dialogue. It empowers individuals to share their stories, encouraging others to join in and express their struggles and triumphs. Mental health should never be a taboo subject; it is essential for our overall well-being. As we continue to break down barriers and advocate for mental health resources, let's remember the power of sharing our truths. By doing so, we can create an environment where others feel safe to discuss their battles, understand they are not alone, and seek help when needed.
