(Hooga)
I got this cute little book for Christmas and as soon as I started to read it, I realized I've been trying to incorporate Hygge my whole life, without even knowing there was a word or type of "culture" for it.
Hygge is pronounced Hooga. It's basically a little cute book on how to be happy by incorporating Hygge into your life. Which is the easiest way to describe it is comfy, cozy and small groups of people you love the most.
It's a super easy read and I highly recommend this adorable little book!
Hygge is more than just a trend; it's a Danish philosophy that emphasizes a warm, inviting atmosphere and a sense of well-being. Incorporating Hygge into your life can enhance your overall happiness by prioritizing what truly matters—connection with family and friends, taking time for yourself, and creating a cozy home environment. This little book offers valuable insights and practical tips on embracing this lifestyle. Embracing elements like soft blankets, warm drinks, and the company of loved ones can transform your space into a refuge of comfort and joy. In Scandinavia, especially Denmark, Hygge is an integral part of winter culture, helping people cope with colder months by fostering closeness and togetherness. Readers are encouraged to engage in activities that promote relaxation and enjoyment, such as candle-lit dinners, reading by the fireplace, or simply savoring a quiet moment of solitude. Consider incorporating small rituals into your routine that elevate your mood and create a sense of peace; it could be as simple as a leisurely walk in nature or indulging in a favorite hobby. By intentionally creating moments of joy, you can cultivate a happier and more fulfilled life through the principles of Hygge.

have you read the book, "saving noah" by lucinda berry, I believe. one of my all time favorite recommendations.
