How to Style a Blazer for Work & Beyond!

Don't get me wrong here.. I love a blazer. I remember when I laid eyes on the Djerf Avenue Forever Blazer, I knew it was a must-have and something I would quite literally have, well, forever. My Mom even purchased one. A little background - before being a full-time model in LA, I worked 9-5 in fashion PR. Working for a brand in-house meant office style was still professional but much less "corporate". So I was able to be a but more playful with my outfits than your traditional in-office job, but obviously it was still crucial to present myself professionally. Cue - THE BLAZER.

I have 2 blazers in my closet that I am going to highlight in my outfits here. The Djerf Avenue Forever Blazer in Black [$220] and the Anine Bing Quinn Blazer in Dove [$550]. This Yin & Yang blazer duo is all I need to play around with cool but ~corporate-ish~ outfits. A few of my faves from my days in the office are shown here!

The Djerf Avenue Forever Blazer in black and the Anine Bing Quinn Blazer in dove provide a striking yin and yang balance—dark and light, structured yet versatile—that can suit various moods and occasions. One trick I’ve embraced is mixing high-end pieces with more accessible or vintage items, like pairing a luxe blazer with Agolde jeans or mom’s vintage boots. This layering creates a unique, personal style that still reads as neat and put-together for work. For example, wearing the Anine Bing blazer over a cozy sweater or a simple tee keeps things professional but approachable. I also love swapping traditional skirts for tailored shorts or cargos, especially when accessorized with sleek boots or chic shoes, which bridges the gap between corporate and casual. It’s all about feeling confident and authentic while respecting the office vibe. If you’re looking to expand your blazer styling, consider fabric textures and color coordination to match seasons and moods, and don’t shy away from adding subtle accessories like belts or minimalist jewelry. These small choices elevate your look without sacrificing the blazer’s timeless, structured appeal. Ultimately, the blazer acts as a style foundation that carries you seamlessly from a work meeting to after-hours gatherings, proving it’s an indispensable piece beyond corporate wear.
