The beginning of my Loc Journey

... Read moreMy loc journey began after the birth of my first child in September 2017, when I prioritized my mental health over hairstyling. By October, I experienced significant hair shedding, leading me to cut my hair for a fresh start in November. It was in May 2018 that I decided to start my locs, finding relief from frequent styling with silk presses and braids. As I navigated through various stages, including the challenging budding stage in September 2018, I learned to embrace the changes. By February 2019, as I approached the one-year mark, I began fully accepting my locs. The journey was not just about hair but also a reflection of my personal growth and identity. Celebrating two years loc'd in May 2020, I enthusiastically shared length checks and new techniques for maintaining healthy locs, showcasing the beauty of embracing my natural texture. Today, my loc journey is a testament to resilience, patience, and self-love. I encourage others to take their time and enjoy every stage of their hair journey, understanding that each phase brings its own beauty and lesson. For anyone on a similar path, remember that every inconsistency can lead to beautiful results. Let's continue to share our stories and support one another along the way!
