Shell decor 🐚❤️

If you enjoy beachcombing and crafting like I do, transforming shells into home decor is an incredibly satisfying hobby. I took two old printer boxes and decided to repurpose them as display containers for my shells. This simple upcycling method adds a rustic, personalized touch that complements any fireplace or shelf. When selecting shells for decoration, consider a mix of sizes and shapes to create visual interest. You can also add natural elements like sand, small driftwood pieces, or even tea lights to make the display more dynamic. Placing these boxes on either side of the fireplace not only enhances the warmth of the atmosphere but also brings a piece of the beach indoors. If you’re planning a similar project, I recommend thoroughly cleaning your shells and drying them to maintain their natural beauty and prevent any odors. For added protection and shine, a light coat of clear varnish works well. This approach allows you to create unique, meaningful decor that reflects your love for the beach and crafts, while also being eco-friendly through repurposing items around the house.
