Sun and Earth 🌚🌝

These are just the base designs. I don’t know when I’m going to re-design them but soon I will 🥲

I’m planning to create this as a story someday. Idk when.

Sun is slightly pessimistic and egotistical. He is a rich athlete who has millionaire fortune passed down to him from his father(Stephensun) Stars are likely to be royalty.

Earth was a regular commoner planet, basically working out the pieces of life. She is nonchalant and hesitant. When she meets Sun, she isn’t alarmed nor excited. Not even interested. But he was completely focused on trying to get her attention.

... Read moreHey everyone! So glad you're checking out my Sun and Earth character concepts. I've been getting so many ideas lately, and it's awesome to think about how their story could unfold, maybe even into something like a 'Lunar and Earth Show' one day! First off, let's talk more about Sun. You know how I mentioned he's a rich athlete? Well, imagine him always in the spotlight, used to getting everything he wants. I picture him with that intense expression, almost displeased if things don't go his way, just like in some of my colored illustrations. He inherited a massive fortune from his dad, Stephensun, and honestly, he's a bit of an arrogant golden boy. The flame-like hair and muscular build? That's all about his fiery personality and competitive spirit. But beneath that egotistical facade, maybe there's a reason for his pessimism. Perhaps the pressure of being 'royalty' (like stellar bodies often are in my headcanon) weighs on him more than he lets on. His pursuit of Earth almost feels like a challenge he has to win, rather than genuine interest at first. That's where the 'folly' truly begins for him, right? Then there's Earth. She's such a grounding force! I envisioned her as a regular commoner planet, just quietly getting on with the essential work of nurturing life. She's got that blue skin with green patches, representing her natural environment, and her green curly hair feels like lush foliage. Her neutral expression, as seen in the close-up illustration, perfectly captures her nonchalant and hesitant nature. She's not easily impressed, which is a huge contrast to Sun's magnetic (or so he thinks!) personality. When Sun first tried to get her attention, she wasn't alarmed, excited, or even interested. That made him even more determined! I love that dynamic – it's ripe for comedy and genuine character growth. What if her job as a 'commoner planet' involves constantly 'working out the pieces of life,' literally balancing ecosystems and dealing with the everyday chaos of existence? She's practical, resourceful, and probably finds Sun's antics quite amusing, if not slightly annoying. The idea of a 'Lunar' character alongside them has also been swirling in my mind. Perhaps a calm, observant Moon character could act as a mediator or a wise older sibling figure, offering a different perspective to Sun's fiery ego and Earth's grounded practicality. Imagine the trio navigating cosmic challenges or even just everyday life in a fantastical setting. This 'Lunar and Earth Show' concept could really explore themes of balance, ego, and humility. My process for these designs often starts with a simple pencil sketch, like the ones showing their base forms – Sun in his tank top and loose pants, Earth in her t-shirt and shorts. Then I bring them to life with Procreate, focusing on their unique colors and features. I really want to develop a story where Sun learns humility and Earth opens up to new experiences, all while dealing with the hilarious 'folly' of their mismatched personalities. What do you guys think? What kind of adventures should they have?
