GOD IS DOING A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE.

I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." What an incredible promise! For me, a "new thing" isn't always a grand, flashing event. Sometimes it’s a quiet whisper, a shift in perspective, or a sudden burst of energy to tackle something I thought was impossible. It’s so easy to get stuck reliving past mistakes or clinging to what used to be. That's where Isaiah 43:18 comes in, reminding us to "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past." It's like God is saying, "Look forward with me! I've got something fresh for you, but you need to release what’s behind you to see it." This has been a huge challenge for me personally, learning to let go of old anxieties or failures that kept me feeling trapped. I remember a time when I felt completely overwhelmed, almost in my own "wilderness." I had this dream, or rather, a calling, that seemed completely out of reach. People around me, perhaps with good intentions, would often say things like, "That's too hard," or "You don't have the resources," or even "You couldn't possibly do that." It was discouraging, to say the least. There were moments I almost gave up. But instead of letting those doubts defeat me, I found myself turning to prayer, constantly reminding myself of verses like Isaiah 43:19. I prayed, "God, they say I can't, but I know You can!" And truly, God did it instead. He opened doors I never imagined, brought the right people into my path, and provided insights I wouldn't have discovered on my own. It wasn't always a smooth journey – there were detours and struggles, but through it all, I felt His hand guiding me. This journey of embracing the new can feel uncertain, especially when we're stepping onto unfamiliar ground. That’s why I also find so much comfort in Isaiah 66:13 (Nkjv being a favorite translation for many!), which says, "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." It's a beautiful image of God's tender care, assuring us that even as we navigate new paths, we are not alone. He's there to soothe our fears and provide strength. This means even when the "new thing" feels like a stretch, or if it involves making a "way in the wilderness," we can trust that His comfort is constant. So, how do we perceive this "new thing" God is doing? I think it starts with quiet reflection and prayer. Asking Him to reveal His plans, to open our eyes to the opportunities He's placing before us. It also means being open to change, even when it’s uncomfortable. It might be a new career path, a new approach to a relationship, or even a new way of thinking about ourselves. Whatever it is, know that it’s for your growth and ultimately, for His glory. Let's step into this season of renewal with open hearts and expectant spirits, trusting that He truly is making "streams in the wasteland" for each of us. Don't miss out on what God is doing!
