Corporate Girlie 101✨

Part 1 of 21

(It will get better & more fun as we go along!)

PSA all of my advice comes from all my failures or personal experiences. I’m in no way a know it all.

-I’m sure I have some spelling errors below lol

IMO how you dress to work on a day to day is how you are telling people to treat you. Everyone has a first impression that sticks in their head of when they first met someone.

I’ll use myself as an example.

As much as we envisioned that corporate girlie outfit we’ve been dreaming about since we saw Life Size on Disney with Tyra Banks start off basic.

You can never go wrong with basic trousers from old navy (the pixies aren’t fav) a well fitted not too tight t shirt and cardigan. This job isn’t your runway. Unless you’re working in that industry.

Next - instead of focusing on that outfit Listening is your best accessory.

LISTENING IS YOUR BFF. It’s natural for us to say ok or yes ect after every word our trainer or interviewer I saying but stop thinking of your next answer and LISTEN.

... Read moreThe concept of Corporate Girlie style combines professionalism with personal expression. In today’s corporate landscape, how you present yourself can significantly affect how others perceive and treat you. For shoes, consider classic loafers or elegant ankle boots that balance comfort with style. Accessories should be kept minimal, allowing your personality to shine through without overwhelming your outfit. Moreover, developing strong listening skills is crucial for effective communication in the workplace. Active listening not only shows respect but also reinforces your engagement with colleagues and supervisors. To practice this, focus entirely on the speaker, avoid distractions, and take mental notes. This way, you can respond thoughtfully rather than reflexively, fostering deeper connections and understanding. Whether you're breaking into the corporate world or seeking professional development, mastering your wardrobe and listening skills will enhance your workplace experience.
